Don’t Take Me Home (2017) description:
The documentary film “Do not Take Me Home” – an attempt by the authors to tell about the many years of work of athletes and coaches in the smallest south-western part of the British Kingdom, Wales. In this country, in the middle of the 20th century, a handful of football fans united into the team and began to train hard, dreaming of victories and prizes for victory not only in the kingdom, but also at the international level. Despite the lack of a serious sports base, the Welsh team managed to qualify for prestigious international tournaments, leaving behind some major European teams.
The competent trainers, devotedly devoted to their cause, did their utmost to make Wales a country with a team of professionals. In 2012, the team was headed by Gary Speed. His visionary policy for the creation of the National Football Center Dragon Park, which focused on the forge of personnel, brought long-awaited fruits. In 2016, the whole world saw a small, but stubborn state of Wales in the semi-finals of the European Championship.
